Privacy Policy

Codeskill (codeskill.co.uk). This page explains what information this site uses, in plain language.

The short version

I do not sell your information. I do not run a membership system that builds profiles about you. The site is mainly free tutorials. A few things below may still involve limited personal data.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, you choose to send your name, email address, subject, and message. That message is emailed to me so I can reply. I do not keep a public list of submissions on the website, and I do not sell or share those details for marketing.

Theme preference

If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is stored in your browser (local storage) so the site can remember it next time. It stays on your device and is not sent to me as a profile.

Analytics

I may use Google analytics tools (via Google Site Kit) to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are popular. Google may set cookies or similar technologies and process usage data under its own policies. You can control cookies in your browser settings, and Google provides tools for analytics preferences.

External links

Links to other sites (for example Buy Me a Coffee) are run by those services. Their privacy policies apply once you leave Codeskill.

Hosting and security

Like most websites, the hosting provider and security tools may process technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to keep the site running and safe. That is normal website housekeeping, not marketing.

Your rights

If you have contacted me and want a copy of that correspondence deleted or corrected, email me and I will help where I can. If you are in the UK or EU, you may also have rights under data protection law — ask and I will point you in the right direction.
